We
are going to be in Santa Fe October 6-7 for a trunk show at
Tresa Vorenberg Goldsmiths. Please
stop by if you are in the area! The gallery is located at 656 Canyon Road in an
historic art district full of galleries and fine restaurants. We are going to
be there in person on Friday October 6 from 5:00-7:00 and on Saturday October 7
from 12:00-5:00.
Since 1974, Tresa Vorenberg Goldsmiths has presented a wildly imaginative array of handcrafted designer jewelry. Representing the work of over 35 unique artists, the gallery offers a wide range of options from classic to contemporary. We will be showing our Sand Dune collection and expanded bridal collection. Our Sand Dune collection depicts the moment in time just before sandy beaches and desert landscapes are changed forever by the forces of nature.

Two InDesign Awards!
I was so happy when I learned that I won two InDesign awards! My Ombre Earrings and Crown “Power” Ring came in 2 nd place in the Silver category and the Wedding and Engagement category, respectively. The competition was sponsored by InStore magazine to recognize the most creative jewelry of the year, so I was very honored. My Ombre Earrings are 55 x 12mm and [...]

Cindy Edelstein Memorial Auction
I am helping to raise donations for the Cindy Edelstein Memorial. She helped many jewelry designers promote their business for decades. Cindy —affectionately known by many as the “biz guru”’—began her career in the jewelry industry as a fashion editor at JCKmagazine. This brought her in contact with jewelry designers and their work, and she soon came to realize that working with them [...]

Tanzanite is December's Birthstone
Yes, it’s true. There are three birthstones for December: Zircon, Turquoise, and Tanzanite! All of them come in various shades of blue -- fitting for the beginning of winter. I would like to focus on Tanzanite, which was discovered in 1967 by a Masai tribesman in northeastern Tanzania. Tanzanite is actually a blue to violet to bluish purple variety of zoisite. Usually Tanzanite [...]

The Making of Thanksgiving as a Holiday
Thanksgiving is around the corner! Until recently it was very warm in New York City, so we didn’t realize how close it is to the holiday season. We were watching the cooking channel the other day and learned that President Lincoln declared the fourth Thursday of every November as Thanksgiving day. That was in 1863, and it remained that [...]

If Its November it Must be Citrine
I love Fall colors: turning leaves and pumpkins – orange and brown hues. It also reminds me of the deep Citrine color that is November’s birthstone! Citrine is a type of quartz, pale yellow to brownish orange. Rare in nature, its color comes from iron and is created by treating amethyst (or in some places smoky quartz) with heat. Most [...]
